In 2005, Myanma Awba Group established the first ever commercial scale citrus farm in Mingalardon Township, some 20km in Yangon. It has been developed in a 40 acres flat land using modern agriculture practices.
Topography and climatic conditions around Yangon are not favorable for citrus farming. Myanma Awba has adopted modernized lowland citrus farming technologies a neighbouring country and now produces >2 million fresh oranges each year. Yangon Citrus Farm is one of the proud icons of Myanma Awba Group.
The Group has developed a number of farms throughout the country that serve as R&D bases for local trials and training centres for nearby farmers to see our agricultural solutions for themselves.
