Myanma Awba Group (Awba Group) has been named the 11^th most transparent Myanmar company in the 2018 Pwint Thit Sa report on Transparency in Myanmar Enterprises (TiME). The newly announced ranking is a significant improvement from the 34^th position the company took in 2016.

According to the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business, this year’s TiME included twice as many companies as previous years, assessed with new methodology adapted from the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS). The ACGS is an international benchmark used by Myanmar corporate governance initiatives, and countries like Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.

Since 2016’s assessment, we have worked to improve our corporate governance, culture, corruption reporting procedures and other practices. Transparency, accountability and good corporate governance are necessary ingredients to earn the trust of our shareholders, employees, and most importantly, our partners in the farming communities of Myanmar.

Our improved ranking under the new assessment has affirmed our efforts to create a positive, responsible and transparent corporate culture. In the years to come, we will continue to better our corporate governance and remain a responsible, transparent business as we work to provide more quality solutions to the agricultural industry in Myanmar and beyond.
