Myanma Awba Group is the leading group of companies in Myanmar focused on agriculture
We leverage the world's best agricultural technologies and provide customised services to develop the most suitable solutions for growers to produce food in greater quantity and of better quality.
We believe that harnessing the potential of smallholder agriculture is one of the strongest drivers in transforming rural communities and accelerating economic and social improvement in Myanmar.
With a team of over 1,500 people, we are the country’s largest manufacturer and distributor of agricultural technology and play a leading role in training farmers how to optimise their growing practices. We employ the largest number of agronomists outside the government and command a footprint that extends across the country.
We seek to develop rural areas and farming communities through our distribution and grower support networks.
What We Do
We have particular focus on crop protection and nutrition, high quality seeds, micro-finance, digital tools, manufacturing and logistics.
We also work in partnership with a number of globally-respected organisations and welcome further collaboration opportunities across the private, government or NGO sectors.
Our Vision and Values
Agriculture is the lifeblood of Myanmar. Over half of the population is directly employed in the sector, which accounts for approx. 40% of the nation’s GDP and over 20% of export earnings. With a geographic location close to major markets, rich natural resources and a varied climate, the country is well-suited to playing a leading role in food production for the region.
Our ambition is to set a global standard for agriculture value-chain companies as the farmer-focused, sustainable and responsible partner of choice.
Myanmar is changing. We believe there is an opportunity to transform Myanmar agriculture by developing meaningful businesses across key parts of the value chain by engaging farmers as customers, as suppliers and as our most important stakeholders.
